Unfiltered Jazz Festival Night III
Jeff Beal Trio (feat. Steve Cardenas & John Patitucci)
About the Event
If you’ve ever watched House Of Cards, you’ve heard Jeff’s music; Beal composed the score, and his trumpet playing is featured in the main title theme and throughout the series. Beal and Patitucci first collaborated on the recording of his Concerto for Jazz Bass and Orchestra, which was released by Chick Corea’s label Stretch Records.
As a jazz musician, the art of improvisation has been a central part of Beal’s voice as a composer in many idioms. The evening will feature original compositions from Beal’s catalog of jazz & concert works, and trio versions of several pieces originally written for the screen, including his Emmy winning theme from Monk, the theme from Rome (HBO), House Of Cards (Netflix), and others.
General Admission tickets include museum admission. A limited number of special price tickets are available to Members & Patron Level Members on a first come, first served basis.
