Patron Salon: The Art of Hosting
At the home of photographer Blaise Hayward
About the event
Fotografiska Patron members are invited to join us for an intimate salon experience at the home of Blaise Hayward. Join us for an evening of cocktails and conversation as we prepare for our Nightlife exhibition. As we continue to look at the ways in which we gather, we will share our sources of inspiration and spaces we love. You'll meet members of our curatorial team to explore 100 years of NYC nightlife and its lasting impact on the city we love.
Born in 1964 in Toronto, Blaise is a photographer and sculptor based in New York. In 1996 he moved to the United States, where he has maintained a commercial photography studio for decades. Throughout this time he also produced fine-art photography, and over the past few years this increasingly has become the focus of his time and energy, as has creating mobiles and bronze sculptures.
His work resides in many private collections. but only recently, has Hayward begun to publicly exhibit his art and present it to a wider audience. Hayward has recently completed both The Statehood Quarters and The Quarters of Confederation portfolios and is continuing to work on several projects including Tickets Please, The Honest Portrait and his Flower Studies.
