About the Event

Please join us for the opening night of Light Play. Fotografiska is proud to present Light Play, an exhibition of works by pioneering artist László Moholy-Nagy (1895-1946).

The multidisciplinary artist was known for his radical and experimental paintings, sculptures, films, design, and photography associated with the Bauhaus movement. The exhibition features Moholy-Nagy’s earliest experiments with what the artist called “photoplastics” — photomontage with photograms revealing body parts like hands, and the artist’s own profile. A photogram is a photographic image made without a camera by placing objects directly onto the surface of a light-sensitive material and then exposing it to light.
