The Overlook with Joe Lovano

About the Performance

The Overlook returns to Fotografiska with Douglas J Cuomo’s meditative and ecstatic work Seven Limbs for string quartet and improvised saxophone, with the legendary, Grammy-winning Joe Lovano.

The work is inspired by an ancient Tibetan Buddhist meditation practice called The Seven Limbs. A method of purifying the mind, allowing it to become more patient, peaceful, loving, and compassionate, Seven Limbs brings concertgoers closer toward a spiritual ideal with the joyous music of Cuomo.
