About the Event

When Ethan James Green (b. 1990) picks up his camera, he aims to capture a photo that transcends the confines of its particular moment. Whether the subject is a public figure, an actor, a close friend, or even an animal, the object remains the same: to create work that is timeless in nature, that eclipses the specificity of its origin.

This collection spans from 2016 to the present and represents a survey of the varied subjects and characters in Green’s expansive body of work. Since 2016, the artist moved from documenting his close circle of intimates, often in the parks near his former Grand Street apartment, to shooting covers for Vogue, Vanity Fair, and other international titles.

Members are invited to mingle with the artist and enjoy a first look at Green’s exhibition, with a complimentary glass of bubbly.
