David LaChapelle: In Conversation

With Writer & Theologian Paul Raushenbush

Hero Image for David LaChapelle: In Conversation

About The Event

Join us for an afternoon of conversation with world-renowned artist David LaChapelle and celebrated writer, editor, and religious activist Paul Raushenbush in celebration of ‘make Believe’, the artist’s first major museum solo exhibition in North America, and our first building-wide show. Raushenbush will engage LaChapelle in an exclusive conversation detailing the evolution of his work and the inspirations that have guided him.

Rev. Paul Brandeis Raushenbush is nationally recognized religious leader and journalist who has interviewed such diverse figures as Patti Smith, RuPaul and President Jimmy Carter on the spirituality that guides their work. An ordained minister, Paul served as Associate Dean of the Chapel and Religious Life at Princeton University, was Founding Editor of Global Spirituality at The Huffington Post and currently is President of Interfaith Alliance.

From the words of Raushenbush, “David is a visionary. Every photograph illuminates the sacred in his subjects in ways that can be fun, naughty, or even shocking – but that always leaves us seeing the world anew – beautiful and shot through with glory.”

The event ticket includes access to the talk, plus general museum admission to view the exhibition.

Fotografiska Members have access to get a limited number of complimentary tickets (RSVP required) on a first come, first served basis.
